SAVE THE DATE -- Breakfast of Champions!
Published on 11.20.2014
Mark your calendar now for our Breakfast of Champions breakfast on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, the official kick-off for 2015 Human Race! The Breakfast of Champions is the FIRST of three events that makes up the Human Race experience and gives participants the chance to pick-up all the materials they need to realize their fundraising goals.

This year we welcome Chad Crittenden as our Breakfast of Champions keynote speaker. Chad's an elementary school teacher from Livermore who has appeared on the hit show, Survivor, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and has been successful in raising significant funds and awareness for the Challenged Athletes Foundation.

ATTENTION NONPROFITS -- You will be able to enroll in the 2015 Human Race by going to this website in January. Fundraising won't start until February, after the Breakfast of Champions, but nonprofits can make sure they have a presence by signing up early before the big rush to donate begins!

Published on 11.20.2014
Though the 2014 Human Race is now just a sweet memory, it's time to start thinking up some WILD ideas for the 2015 Human Race! We will be opening up our website in January 2015 for nonprofits and TIMED runners to register. Those who enjoy their race day by walking or doing a non-timed run, will be able to start their fundraising efforts on February 3, 2015.

Remember to mark your calendar for Saturday, May 9, 2015, and the 2015 Human Race!

THANK YOU SONOMA COUNTY!
Published on 06.24.2014
From the Human Race team here at the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County, we are tremendously indebted to our sponsors for their support; the City of Santa Rosa for the use of the city streets, their equipment & our amazing police support; Howarth & Spring Lake Park Services for allowing our course to run through their beautiful parks; and Herbert Slater Middle School for the generous use of their school as our event site. We also want to thank our army of volunteers. An event of this size would not be possible if so many generous souls didn't step forward to join us in the wee hours of race morning. Most importantly, we want to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to all of the nonprofits, businesses and citizens of Sonoma County. We wouldn't be the biggest Human Race event in the country without you!
