From the Human Race team here at the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County, we are tremendously indebted to our sponsors for their support; the City of Santa Rosa for the use of the city streets, their equipment & our amazing police support; Howarth & Spring Lake Park Services for allowing our course to run through their beautiful parks; and Herbert Slater Middle School for the generous use of their school as our event site. We also want to thank our army of volunteers. An event of this size would not be possible if so many generous souls didn't step forward to join us in the wee hours of race morning. Most importantly, we want to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to all of the nonprofits, businesses and citizens of Sonoma County. We wouldn't be the biggest Human Race event in the country without you! What is the Human Race...
Published on 05.07.2016
The Human Race is a nationwide community fundraising event for nonprofit organizations and is the largest collaborative fundraising event in Sonoma County as well as the largest Human Race in the nation! The Sonoma County Human Race features a 3K and 10K run and walk through Howarth and Spring Lake Parks, rain or shine. Organizations and businesses recruit walkers/runners/donors to raise funds. Funds can be raised for any nonprofit organization, school or church. The run and walk is open to all. Over the years the Sonoma County Human Race has raised over $16 million to support local nonprofits. The race has come a long way since the first Human Race in 1981 which raised $1,800. This event is made possible through the generous support of our sponsors. Click here to view a list of sponsors.
