We are excited your agency/nonprofit will be participating in this year's Human Race. Now is the time to REGISTER. Why? It let's the Volunteer Center know that you are participating so you can be recognized, funds can be distibuted and you will have a chance to win a prize at the Breakfast of Champions.

Basic Trainings

Basic Training for Participating Organizations
Come learn the basics and get your Human Race questions answered! Sessions are oriented to new nonprofit organizations or new Human Race coordinators, but those who've participated before are also welcome - a refresher course is always helpful. Sessions last approximately 60 minutes. Click here for dates.

Remember that the Volunteer Center staff is here to answer your questions and help you maximize your efforts in the Human Race. You don't need to attend a training session to seek help; call or email us and we'll be glad to answer your questions.

Human Race Payouts

There are three Human Race payouts between April and August.

1st payout is in the month April. This check will include any funds deposited after the financial fiscal year June 30th of the previous year. And any funds deposited the current year from February till the end of March.

2nd Payout is in the month of June. This check will include funds deposited from the beginning of April till end of May.

3rd payout is in the month of August. This check will include funds deposited from beginning June till the financial fiscal year end  June 30th.

Any funds deposited after the financial fiscal year end will go towards the following year's Human Race.

 

Business Entry Form

One great way to get more donations is to partner with a local business. Ask a business to support your nonprofit organization by gathering donations through employee participation. Be sure to have them fill out a Business Entry Form and coordinate with one of their employees to ensure a successful partnership! Click here to view the Business Entry Form.

Marketplace

The Human Race team DOES NOT know your marketplace booth space #, so please do not
call. You will be given your booth space number when you arrive to set up.

GUIDE LINES for SET-UP
Please understand that you must set up your booth on Friday evening, May 6, between
5:00 pm & 7:00 pm, in order to hold your space. The Volunteer Center provides overnight
security guards. On Saturday morning, remaining spaces will be available on a FIRST COME, FIRST
SERVE BASIS. Last minute participants will be billed their applicable fee the following week.

All vehicles must be off the blacktop by 6:30 am. Marketplace exhibitors should be "open for business"
by 7:00 am and are expected to pack up and load out around 11:00 am.Each year the blacktop area behind Herbert Slater Middle School is transformed into a bustling festival area, where participating nonprofit organizations and supporting businesses can reach out to the community. Approximately 8,000 walkers and runners visit the Marketplace on Race Day.

REMINDER
Nonprofits have until Friday, March 25th to turn in their Marketplace form. After Friday, March 25th a $100 fee will apply. Businesses can sign-up to purchase a Marketplace booth, beginning March 26th for $250. If there are spaces available on the Friday before Race Day or on Race Day, and you are assigned a space, your nonprofit or business will be billed after Human Race event.

By signing up for a Marketplace booth, a 10x10 space will be reserved for you. It is your responsibility to provide your own tent, tables, chairs, supplies and to CLEAN UP your space.
