Job Descriptions
Course Monitor: 7:30 am – 10:30 am
Description: You will direct runners and walkers along the race route.

Registration: 6:00 am – 10:00 am
Description: Register walkers and runners at Slater Middle School before the race.

Start Line: 7:15 am – 8:00 am
Description: Assist at the beginning of the race by holding a sign that will indicate where the runners and walkers will line up. After the participants have left the area, please assist at the finish line.

Data Entry: 7:30 am
Description: Entering run tag information into computer. This takes place in the gymnasium.

Finish Line Help: (Spindler, Courier, Tabulator) 7:30 am – 10:00 am
Description: Spindler: fast moving volunteers to gather chest tags and put through spindles. Couriers: fast volunteers to run chest tags to tabulators at data input area. Tabulators: will input data with information from chest tags.

Tabulation:* 11:00 am – 3:00 pm (at Volunteer Center)
Description: After the race, assist for a few hours tabulating pledges at the Volunteer Center. (*Using adding machines)

Clean Up: 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Description: Volunteers will do a thorough sweep of Slater Middle School, loading vehicles with Volunteer Center supplies and cleaning up area, taking down banners, collecting garbage.
